旅游策划:可持续旅游方案的首次落地实施

　　The Green Team, consisting of Thomas, Melody, Saung and Anna had their first official meeting and started to make progress on the Internal Management Module. Internal Management includes reducing the negative environmental impact of the daily office life, for example reducing paper, while at the same time increasing the working conditions and motivation of employees. This module is very important as it is crucial, that the employees understand what Sustainability is and are motivated through several actions to be “greener” themselves, before working on the other components.

　　To commence the Travelife project, the company has set up sustainable policies, which include not only internal management but also the suppliers, animal welfare, child policies and much more. The policies will be published on the website in the upcoming weeks. The overall introductory Policy which Memories Travel has created and stands for is:

　　“Memories Travel has committed itself to thrive and conduct business in a sustainable manner. It is important to the company to meet the need of the present without compromising the future by minimize negative social, environmental and economic impacts, whereas increasing the positive impact that tourism can have on local communities, local economy and also individuals. Sustainable practices and policies have been implemented in all parts of the business supply chain to improve the consumers experience but also those of employees and suppliers.”

　　Secondly, Memories Travel DMC has gotten one step closer to becoming Sustainably Certified. The Green Team has implemented several actions to reduce paper, electricity and separate waste.

　　For example, cotton towels have been purchased to replace the paper towels and thus, reducing the use of paper in the bathrooms. Additionally, all the old documents, which were stapled together, where separated and now the blank back pages are being used for printing, in order to waste as little paper as possible.

　　Furthermore, separate waste bins have been purchased to enable an office recycling Program. The office now has separate trash bins for cans, plastic, paper and food waste. These separated items are donated to the local collectors of our neighborhoods 1-2 times per week.

　　Moreover, to reduce the energy consumption at the office, small whiteboards have been acquired to remind everyone to put their computers to sleep mode during lunch, but also to switch off the lights when leaving the room and to use natural light as much as possible.

　　The aircon also has to be switched off during Lunch break or when the room is not in use.

　　These implementations are just the start and there are many more actions to come in the upcoming weeks.

　　The whole team of Memories Travel DMC has been very supportive of the Sustainable actions and policies and is actively contributing by sending ideas to the Green Team of how to become more Sustainable. They are eager and motivated to work on the upcoming steps of Travelife.

　　Currently, the Staff of the Green Team, together with their colleagues are preparing a staff outing on the 5th of June which will evolve around Sustainability and the No Plastic movement. We will keep you informed about the activities and actions planned on this this special day: World Environment Day.
