　　Our Green Team is represented by Melody, Saung and Anna and is being led by Thomas.

　　We are glad to announce that we have started the Travelife accreditation process and have entered into the first stage of Travelife engagement with the aim of being a Travelife Partner within the next 3- 6 months. Therefore, a “Green Team” has been formed with representatives of the different departments in order to assess, create, prepare and monitor the sustainability policies of our DMC.

　　Travelife is an internationally recognized certification, for travel companies which are dedicated to reach a significant level of sustainability. Sustainability involves the three P’s namely Planet, People, Profit and Travelife assists to implement and manage policies targeting the environmental, social and economic impact of the company and their partners. Tour Operators have a unique position in their country to contribute to sustainable tourism due to the fact that they can choose specific suppliers and also influence the choice of their consumers. Thus, specific and effective Sustainability Policies and goals are crucial.

　　To be effective, Sustainability needs to be integrated in a structured manner by a Sustainability Management System (SMS), which covers all the responsible areas and ensures that it is part of the business cycle.

　　It includes the below pillars :

　　• Internal management: improve Sustainability of own organization

　　• Supply Chain Management : Increase sustainability in entire business-chain

　　• Transport: Reduce environmental impact of transportation

　　• Excursions: impact of activities and products

　　• Local Guides, local representatives: qualifications, working conditions

　　• Destinations: impact of Tourism on destinations

　　• Customer Communication: motivate clients towards right decisions an behavior during holiday

　　All the actions taken by Memories Travel to integrate Sustainability on all levels of the business cycle are being monitored and guided by Travelife.
